Christos studied in the UK where he obtained an Honors Degree in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London, and a Masters M.Sc in Development Economics from Reading University.
Upon his return to Malawi in 1993 he joined the Agricultural group known then as Interep. In 1995 he jointly established Agora Ltd, and two years later in 1997 he co-founded Farmers World Ltd and Malawi Fertilizer Company. In 2001 after a company restructure Chris took up the role of joint MD at Farmers World Holdings. In 2014 he was elected joint CEO of Meridian Consolidated Investments Limited, a position he held until 2023.
Christos has gained vast industry experience over the past 20 years having acted as Operations Director of Agrivest (Macadamia tree plantation), Demeter Agriculture (producing bean and maize seed), and Central African Logistics (fleet of 90 trucks doing import, export and local distribution).
